Welcome to Project Uni
Founded in 2017, Project Uni aims to provide detailed knowledge of every UK university's local area to prospective and existing university students. All our information is supplied directly by alumni and graduates, which ensures any advice that's given is as useful and as relevant as possible. In case you're wondering, we don't publish university league tables or rankings as we believe there are already too many of those lists around.
At present, most of our contributors are recent graduates and former students who help out in their spare time. This service is operated entirely as a non-profit initiative. We intend on keeping it that way for as long as we can, so we need your help. If you're excited by what we do, please consider joining us on this mission.
Having recently graduated from university, we understand first-hand the struggles and difficulties with settling into a completely new and unknown environment. This is especially true for international students relocating to UK from overseas, and may not have had the opportunity to properly explore the surroundings. The truth is, most of the friends you meet at university are probably found within the first few weeks of the semester, so once you've missed that window, it might be quite challenging integrating yourself socially.
Although there are plenty of online resources to help you navigate through university life, we've yet to come across a dedicated service that provides real, personable, and independent knowledge of all UK universities. That's exactly what Project Uni sets out to resolve. In time, we hope to be able to assign at least one local ambassador to each university. Their role it is to answer any queries you may have about the particular university in question, be it about accommodation, food, nightlife, shopping, etc.
Project Uni is always looking to expand our team of contributors, more specifically our pool of local ambassadors. Please reach out on firstname.lastname@example.org if there's a university you would like to represent. Who knows, you might even meet some new friends along the way!
In the meantime, here's a random picture of something cute for you to look at.
